Development History

Navaprabhat Samyukta Campus, located in the remote hills of Pancheshwar, Baitadi, is a community-driven institution committed to transforming the educational landscape of Nepal’s Far-Western region. Established in 2069 B.S. with affiliation from Tribhuvan University, the campus was founded to fulfill the long-overdue need for higher education in this underserved area. Surrounded by challenging geography and limited infrastructure, the people of Pancheshwar had long struggled with poor access to quality education. Navaprabhat emerged as a beacon of hope, becoming the first and only bachelor-level campus in the region, offering Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programs to uplift the community through academic empowerment.

In its early phase, the campus began its teaching and learning activities using the existing facilities of Shree Kulau Secondary School. However, recognizing the need for a dedicated academic environment, the campus community mobilized resources from multiple stakeholders, including UGC, DDC, VDC, local representatives, donors, guardians, and students. Their collective effort led to the purchase of 2-7-01-03 ropani of land in 2074 B.S., followed by the construction of three buildings with 12 classrooms. This physical foundation marked a turning point in the campus’s journey toward sustainable growth and academic excellence.

Today, Navaprabhat Samyukta Campus stands as a vital institution for students from marginalized, disadvantaged, and economically weaker backgrounds—especially women and Dalits—who travel long distances to pursue their dreams of higher education. With a focus on quality and inclusiveness, the campus has become a cornerstone of progress for the Pancheshwar region. It not only provides access to higher education but also nurtures responsible, educated citizens who are now contributing to the social and economic development of the nation.
